The Animation Workshop is a major part of the upcoming Viborg Animation Festival - or "VAF", if you like.
From October 27th to November 4th, cinemas will screen brand new animated movies as well as festival favorites and recent higlights (for free!), while Viborg will be teeming with animated street art and events, and the "Learning Games Expo" will allow visitors to sample the newest in digital edutainment. Behind the scenes, conferences will enlighten educators and animation professionals on the untapped potential of the media.

The Japanese Walt Disney. God of manga. Godfather of anime. The Japanese were never short on flattering comparisons when describing Osamu Tezuka, the revered driving force between the manga boom in the 50's and the anime boom in the 60s.
August 24th, the very first Osamu Tezuka-exhibition in Scandinavia opens at Kunsthal Brænderigården in Viborg, where the exhibition can be seen until november 4th.

Cartoon Digital 2012
The Animation Workshop hosted this years edition of Cartoon Digital, the European conference. The theme for the conference was Transmedia in animation and interactive entertainment with subjects ranging from legal issues in a transmedia context to inspiring cases from European companies from the animation, computer games and new media businesses.
Exhibition: "The God of Manga"
Later this summer, the first ever European exhibition on Osamu Tezuka opens here in Viborg!
