Alstom and AO Locomotive, a subsidiary of the Kazakh Railways, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), have signed a contract for the full maintenance, major overhaul and modernization of 27 passenger locomotives KZ4AC for a period of 25 years.

Alstom announces today the success of its private placement of 13,133,208 new shares, representing 4.45% of its share capital before capital increase and 4.26% after capital increase, at a subscription price of €26.65 per share, i.e. a discount of 4.40% on the volume weighted average price (VWAP) of the last 3 trading days.

Alstom’s Board of Directors approved today the launch of a capital increase through a private placement representing less than 5% of the share capital of Alstom via the issuance of new Alstom shares. The new shares will be fully fungible with Alstom’s existing ones.

The contract has been signed in consortium with Duro Felguera, a Spanish company specialising in the execution of power plants, which will be in charge of the erection of the new power plant for Carrington Power Limited. The total contract value is approximately €640 million, with Alstom’s share being around €410 million.

Alstom has signed a contract with Neoenergia, one of the biggest private groups in the electrical sector of Brazil for the supply of 3 Kaplan hydro turbines, generators, control command and protection systems as well as electromechanical and erection equipment for the Baixo Iguaçu hydro power plant.

Alstom has signed two contracts totaling €270 million with Queiroz Galvão, one of the main infrastructure groups in Brazil.

Alstom has signed a long term service contract with JSC Mosenergo in Russia for the 420 MW power generating unit #8 at the combined heat and power plant 26, located in Moscow.

Alstom has signed with Dongbu Corporation a contract to deliver equipment for Dongbu Green Power Plant 1&2 (1200 MW), the first ultrasupercritical coal-fired power plant to be constructed by an Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Korea.
h3> Alstom intends to acquire Tidal Generation Ltd from Rolls-Royce 25/09/2012

Alstom has signed an agreement with Rolls-Royce to acquire Tidal Generation Limited (TGL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Plc, specialised in the design and manufacture of tidal stream turbines.

The new trains will run between Frankfurt and Saa
ücken (Nahe/Rhine-Hessen region), and between Koblenz and Kaiserslautern (Saar region) from December 2014.
